The Catskill Park, a province of the larger Appalachian Mountains, is located along the Hudson Valley in South Eastern New York. The Catskill Mountains are well known in American Culture through books, film and art. Most notably are Washington Irving’s tale of Rip Van Winkle, and the paintings of Thomas Cole and Frederick Church; the Hudson River School of Art. With over 300 miles of trails and 700k acres in the Catskill Park there is something for everyone.
